Not a patch on the original plot and storyline. Slow to get started, but Jake Gillenhall’s portrayal of Dawson was likeable and fresh. Good standalone movie that just didn’t really get going, especially if you loved the first. Missed the ‘Wade’ character but caught the head-nod to wade in the Book given to Dalton by ‘book-shop-girl’.
