It's entertaining enough but by no means "one of the best" or "greatest" marvel movies as suggested by some reviews here. I'll be general just in case someone has t seen it and stumbles on this review.
Christian Bale is is a stand out as usual. I wish the story was worthy of his fantastic performance.
The story is far too simple and lacks depth for what it's trying to do while neglecting to create sufficient tension between the hero and villain to bring a viewer to the edge of their seat.
There is humour throughout but it's overdone. Humour works best when delivered with timing and punch. Constantly trying to be funny loses its effect and takes away from moments that would otherwise be much more humorous. I feel TW has tried to squeeze too much into the one movie. Leave some for the future next time. Focus more on the tension needed to grab the audience and give weight to certain scenes. There wasn't enough of a relationship between the hero and villain for certain important decisions and scenes.
