Melancholy perfection that shows how beautiful Canada truly is

My wife warned me that it was bad but I was intrigued by the cast and director after parasite was so fantastic. The premise is absurd and that alone was hard to move past but all the particulars of the story continued to be ridiculous. As a commentary on our society and the class system that we live in, it trampled all over any point it could have made by being so stupid. As they moved further up the train every car made less sense then the one before it. Tail section is filth and squalor and the engine is where you get to eat steak. Fine but a car that is an entire aquarium? A car with orange trees? A whole car full of slaughtered animals but no way to raise them for slaughter in the first place. Fundamentally the part about it being a train is where the whole story went of the rails. If it had taken place in a bunker with the same categorization by class it could have made sense with some tweaking but the constantly moving train is just so stupid that there is no way to forgive the people for making this garbage. Even worse is all the people lying about it being a good film. I can only assume those people have never been to a movie before. The matrix tells a similar message and twist on the plot while being a great film. So many stories about society and the class system in our society have been told and all of them are better than this mess. Don’t waste your time.
