Charles Decate

I'm not really sure how this is funny. I'm half way through and it's not hilarious at all. The dude has cancer his girlfriend left him. Bad hook up scene. It just makes me sad. The jokes are really really not funny. I cat see how it's supposed to be funny and attempting to be light hearted, but it's not . I was really hoping it would be funny. Not to be a downer but. Don't watch this if youre looking for humor especially if you expect hilarious. LoL

I understand the concept behind the movie as far a commentary on age and looking younger, especially as far women go. So this aspect of the movie and a futuristic view of a solution for it is kind of ok. But with sci fi movies you have to be able to suspend your belief in order to get your brain to to get into the movie. This didn't happen. I don't think this could ever happen. Mostly I was trying really hard not to shut it off because the pace of the movie was so painfully slow. But. Not only is it slow and dragged out it's choppy. The dialogue is horrible. People make these short sentences that just end and there is a noticable pause before the next person speaks. The scene where the daughter is upset with her 'new' "where is my mother" and they fight but then they are holding each other it's pretty lame actually. I only finished it in order to see how it ended. But really it's like a car accident. It's bad but u have to see it. It's not really thought provoking because it would never happen. I wasn't moved because the scenes were too short I doubt that the daughter would be that adjusted so fast. The ending is also just bad . The family has been separated for so long one side of the family doesn't even know the other side but then they are sitting there so close and no awkwardness. Understand why it's made the way it is. But really.. it's just bad. There are similarly made films being made these days and I think it's just a really bad trend. I hope it stops soon.
