You know how sometimes you buy a book just because a certain reviewer convinced you to take a chance on a book. Then you are about 50 pages in and you're hearing yourself say, "this book sucks". You want to smack that reviewer. Well, I'm the reviewer you won't want to smack later. At least about this book you won't. I loved this book. I loved the trilogy. I listened to them on Audible and I have to say that the narrator was perfect for these books. His British accent was spot-on and I think he made the banter between all of the characters very believable and natural. Each character had a great, distinct voice. And they've got a time machine.
I was all in with all 3 books. I really enjoyed the way Haywood fleshed out each character. He had me wanting to hang out and have a beer with all of the them. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of bad-ass , heartless people running around. And some of them are just plain cool. I highly recommend the trilogy, especially to any sci-fi fan, but even if you are not into sci-fi I believe you will enjoy this one and the others. You won't want to smack me later.
