Just started watching, finished Ep.01 and I am enjoying it. I think it is rare to see a period piece so accurately portrayed. The 'filth factor' of the 1300s is a 9/10 and it is realistic without getting too gross. The actors and actresses are believable. Scenery is awesome. Someone watching without a fair grounding in Spanish history may not necessarily be lost in the story, but may not appreciate many of the nuances in the show, which are (thankfully) not hand-fed to the viewer. This is a pre-Reconquista piece, and I find it refreshing to see Castilian history NOT sugar-coated. Interested to see how the Muslim presence on the Iberian peninsula is portrayed in the following episodes. So far, so good!
