I wanted to hate this series. Anyone who knows me would firmly believe that I would hate. But the truth? I absolutely loved it. Sam Claflin and Riley Keough... The rest of the cast was fine, but those two were incredible. The chemistry between them was electric and Riley Keough's performance deserves whatever awards they give out these days (I don't really pay attention). If I've seen any of her other work, I don't remember it. I also didn't know that she was Lisa Marie Presley's daughter until I'd watched a few episodes and was so struct by her character that I looked her up. I was floored when I read that prior to doing this series, that she hadn't done much singing. The music that she and Claflin make, the way that they perform, it's captivating. So much so that I downloaded Aurora on Spotify. Bottom line: even if you think that a series like this just isn't for you, watch it anyway. If you end up loving it, it'll be our secret.
