I don’t hand these 5 star reviews out lightly…. but Elden Ring should get 6! It’s takes the tried and true Dark Souls gameplay and places it in beautiful, terrifying and dangerous world that goes on and on. The exploration alone makes this game awesome but the stories that unfold within the game are mysterious and alluring. This is truly From Software’s finest work to date.

I really wanted to like this game more than this. Alex Chen is an awesome character. I loved her powers and her and Gabes back story feels real and grounded but I couldn’t get past the forced emotional connections the game pushed onto Alex. They needed to give her more freedom in her choices and allowed for a more profound impact, whether it be positive or negative. Graphics were gorgeous, music was meh, characters were decent. Replay ability is practically nonexistent.
