I just couldnโt connect with the main lead at all. For me, Kalyani Priyadarshi looked either spaced out or expressionless through most of the film, and the constant bursts of intense background music felt like an attempt to make up for that.
The action sequences didnโt work for me either โ the red lighting, the excessive blood, and the restless camera movements made it hard to stay engaged. It almost felt like the chaos was meant to hide how unconvincing her action moments were.
Even during the press meets, I got the sense that the makers were trying too hard to make her seem like the perfect fit for the role, but I still couldnโt connect with her performance.
I know the story draws from a well-known Kerala folklore, and maybe that adds another layer for those who recognize it. But for me, it just didnโt spark any emotion or pull me into the story. I left the film feeling completely detached.
