It’s one of those films where you hope for a happy ending…. Where the ghastly main characters are dead by the time credits role.

Horrible film, characters you liked ruined, humour falls flat. A mass of noisy sabre fights not as original as those seen before. We learn that stormtroopers are conscripted as youngsters, yet we’re ok to kill them wholesale at the end. Cliched “is he dead, no he’s safe” at least wait till the 3rd act for the reveal, not 10 mins later. Oh she can heal snakes, I wonder if that exposition will turn up later. That kiss at the end is cringe enducing I’m not a fan boy, I liked Rey, I think she’s a great character, but I felt no affinity to any of the characters is the film. TFA I enjoyed, TLJ was not as bad as some said, but this is just ghastly. New bounty hunter girl has zero menace or discernible skills. Richard e Grant was just not right for the role. Humour was flat... “isn’t 3PO annoying! oh I know let’s keep making him more annoying, that’s funny, it’s an in gag!” It’s a mess, Harrison coming back is poor, we know he didn’t want to be there since ROTJ, did TFA for the cash not the love of it, so why not let him go. So disappointed.

Dull, slow and formulaic, feels like midday American tv drama with a slightly bigger budget. Obviously a response to Apple’s “For All Makind”, this is no where near as engaging. Generally Un-inspiring characters, tedious touching moments, made it to episode 5 and the series so far has had approx 30mins of sci-fi, the rest is kitchen sink drama.
