I read it fir gilmore girls . The story is entirely a rip off of sorts of Luke's love life and character. I was excited as I love gilmore girls but when I was reading the book I realized it doesn't really have the depth and the conversation or the funny elements of the show. It is very superficial and very very repetitive, I mean I watched the show again after reading the book and I realized how much work was put in by the writers and directors and actors and whole crew that's why it resonated and is still very relevant , the conversations the depth in every dialogue etc ..book couldn't even 1 percent of what the show was except the small town close nit community kinda vibe. The female lead was made to be like lorelai but she would be more like any other eye candy girl next door she doesn't have that much charchter to herself. Overall the book is good for a 13 year old even though there are sex scenes
