Movie, what movie? A sequence of violent choreographed fights doesn't do much for a meaningful cinematic theme. Indeed, Wick uses a plethora of weapons to kill people. Knives are back, big time, a horse literally kicks to death one would be assassin, and even dogs are employed to bite bad guys. Sadly, there are no bad women; evidently, they're above reproach in this production. Halle Berry, is probably the highlight of the film. She demonstrates both conviction and meaningful temperament as someone Wick uses to climb the ladder to the high table. Berry's dialogue is strong and coherent - kudos to her. Wick, on the other hand, grumbles his way through this film with typical painful commentary. "Guns, lots of guns," revived from his first "matrix" fits the moment but it's not very original. The closing scene is "ugh." John, is blow off the roof of the Continental. He bounces off of awnings, a fire escape and slams to the street. Unbeknown to the audience his body is picked up by one of the Bowery King's men and trundled back to Fishburne. He, who was thought to be dead, and Wick are now both mad and ready for vengeance. Yep, that's the sequel. For me, it's of no interest. Only 3 out of 5 peaches for this 21st century punch out.
