I saw this movie in the theater when it came out in 1989. Bought it on VHS tape and have watched it so many times since. I love this movie! I never get tired of seeing it. Great comedic moments and the cast is just so perfectly perfect. A little slice of small southern town USA with some grace sprinkled in.

fun movie and great songs! was pleasantly surprised!

I loved it! Very wholesome and fun TV. It was great to see the chefs/bakers be so kind and helpful to each other. Nobody was a cutthroat and they were genuinely happy for the winner of each competition. The bromance between Christophe and Gonzo was funny and Christina is an awesome host. Hope they come back for season 2!! Truly enjoyable TV!
