If you take this movie for what it is then you might enjoy it. It's not Jane Austen. It is a very liberal adaptation. Dakota Johnson is the shining star of this version. I personally would not recommend this to a true Jane Austen fan. I kept an open mind and didn't hate it. I prefer other adaptations of Persuasion. All and all not bad if you don't care about keeping things original to the book.
