I generally like Brad Thor’s stories starring his protagonist Scot Harvath. However, I am a little disappointed I this book because of the complexity of the story involving so many characters in various positions that it’s hard to visualize them individually. The story seems to go in several directions at once. I love Thor’s action scenes with Harvath, but too often the intricate plot sequences leave me floundering to keep track of who is whom and what their role happens to be in the overall story. Generally, Thor’s books are very well written and hold my interest throughout and I enjoy following the exploits of Harvath from book to book, but this one often reduced me to skimming chapters to get to the real action sequences.
