So far itโs ok but not great, a little too P.C. to the point of distraction. The story seems to work hard to accommodate current social narratives rather than a good story. Iโm only five episodes in and like any good story they can take time to develop so we shall see. One more item; it is so dark that it is literally hard to see even in a dimly lit room, they spent a lot of money on this show, too bad you canโt see most of it.
Ok done with the first season and i think it is the writing and maybe directing, that is letting this down. They are so busy trying to build the story in such a short period of time that they just want to tell us the story versus letting us build with the characters; getting to really know who they are, what's their motivation, who are they as people. GOT developed their characters slowly and brought us all along for the ride, we are also only focusing on the crown and their relatives, where are all of the supporting characters, the nights, the hand maidens, the red woman! the ancillary story lines that gave GOT so much richness is here but in a very small measure with no attention as to why I should care about any of them or want to know more about them. We shall see what happens next season.
