Don't believe the bad reviews! If you are a fan of Karate Kid and want to be entertained, then you should see this movie! Ben Wang is great as Li Fong (and check him out in American Born Chinese on Disney), the fight sequences are well choreographed, and there's laugh out loud humor. Movies don't have to be "deep" to be enjoyed and my teen daughter, who does martial arts, wants to watch it again with her friends.

I saw this tonight with my teen and her BFF and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! I also now have a better understanding of Pharrell's impact on music, culture, fashion, etc. I would highly recommend this movie!

This movie was so fun to watch! The action sequences were well done and kept me on the edge of my seat. There were some curse words, but not a crazy amount. I took my 12 and 14 year old kids and they liked it, too.

I agree with others who gave this book a low rating. I was initially drawn in by the cover and suggestion that the book has a Shining-like vibe. This was not the case. Like other readers, I was disappointed by the ending (which I got to by hurriedly flipping pages because the story was starting to drag on and on). I will not be recommending this to friends.

Loved this movie because it is genuine, heartfelt, and impactful! The soundtrack is amazing and the storyline is one that anyone with a family can relate to, regardless of your culture. I am not fluent in Spanish, but plan to watch it soon in Spanish! I really enjoyed this movie!
