The movie was all over the place. Where’d this doctor appear from, besides helping the injured main character after he’s shot? I mean it’s great the the main character solved the mystery, but what else? What purpose did the female sherif, her troubled brother, and the barn really have to do with the story? It kept my attention only because I thought it would all come together at the end. I hate that I had to read the online plot to make sure I was following the story, and I was, but it was still all over the place. The setting (place) gave no reality to it either. Where did that abandoned homeless barn come from? One minute it’s the woods, the next, a small town, then more city-like, then these backroads. Make it all make sense. I did like the soundtrack.
And another thing, my assumption is that the title of the movie came from the girls’ throats being cut open and their…. voice boxes? being removed. But, what else about it? Is it so they won’t scream while being hunted by a crazy grass covered doctor, with an ancient spear building hobby?
The movie gets dumber as I continue to write this review, so I’ll just stop here. This movie was just all over the place. I can’t.
