Complete trash. Let me count the ways
1. The entire game is pay to win, especially for club fittings. If you donโt grind the game for a week or pay real life cash the second you purchase it, youโll never make a five foot putt. I can understand cosmetics, but grinding for something other than a curtain rod for a putter, just for it to STILL miss a simple putt is unacceptable.
2. Hitting is broken in more ways than just unplayable putting. Backspin only works half the time. There will be times you take full preparation to swing under the ball with full spin on the ball, just for it to land before the hole and roll about 36 yards past the hole. I hope you arenโt the kind of golfer that takes their time to analyze their shot, consider the conditions and where to place the ball because that gets thrown out the window along with logic. Thereโs nothing better than being on the fairway and spending two minutes sculpting the perfect chip shot, applying just enough backspin to make it stay close to the hole (because no one is expecting a 46 yard dinger, Iโd be happy to have a decent spot to putt), applying a comical amount of over-correction to the right to one thousand percent guarantee that it will stay at least to the right of the course. Just for the swing to take place, perfect swing, everything lines up, except you only used 96% power instead of 98% so now your shot went 27 yards from your swing to the complete left into the water hazard. Coolโฆ
3. To keep it short, the Green simply contradicts itself at every possible angle. Using all the information you are shown leaves you with more confusion than it does perception on putting. Iโve watched video after video on putting to try and improve my game, just for every single description on how to read the lines/arrows/grid are all completely different.
3. Water and Water Hazards in general. The water looks embarrassingly bad for 2022/2023 standards, and this plays into more than just looks. Due to the lack of effort put into the water, the hit box for water hazard is actually above where the water is displayed. This results in a stroke penalty when you actually would have been better off with the bad shot off the rough. Not to mention their idea of ball placement after a penalty is placing it on a completely different hole on the course to shoot from, praying that it is next to the green you are actually shooting for.
In final review, I can easily say this is far and away the worst golf game Iโve played within the past decade. Leave this one in the sand trap
