This film needed serious editing. The storyline is choppy, many scenes are unnecessary and it doesn't make much sense. Quite disappointing.

I have read many of the professional reviews about this film and it is obvious the reviewers have not paid attention. This is a subtle film that requires close observation to understand the motivations, particularly the protagonist played by George Clooney, and the relationships between the characters. If you miss any number of a few brief images, you can easily Miss who is related and why the protagonist would behave as he does. Also, there are deep space special effects we have never seen before that are done with immense beauty and grace. The scene of the Milky Way is breathtaking. Yes, there are a few misses in the film, but none that diminish the overall value, meaning and pleasure in its viewing.
