Kinda gender stereotypical and definitely not scientifically accurate. the few female bees are a bit restricted to being tour guides or just obsessing over the ‘pollen jocks’. All the bees that collect pollen in the film are male, which is not correct as male bees are just about tolerated by the workers (all female) in a real hive. I apologise to all male bees, i feel bad. Hives are normally 95% or more female in composition. Too many males is poor colony health. With this film, all the male bees have stingers too, i don’t think they did much research. Another thing that isn’t scientifically accurate: In this universe, when the bees stop pollinating, the plants start to die. Indoor, outdoor, trees, any plant. Pollination doesn’t keep the plant alive it’s what lets them reproduce. Anyway, this could just be the fact i overthink things, but i wouldn’t want my future child watching this. Sorry.
