A slow yet poignant glimpse into the Irish countryside of 1920s. Movie starts off with genteel humour and shocks you as it unravels. Understanding another cultural context in a different period took some time but still was able to make so many connections with my 40 plus life experiences โบ๏ธ. As my 16 year old said, life is all about mundane things and yet seeing the beauty in it. The movie leaves you questioning about so many things which we so casually ignore. Excellent portrayals of all characters although it lacked a bit of authenticity in terms of the โcleanerโ homes and clothes etc., in some scenes.
