If corporate pop is your jam, you won’t mind this album. If you want to listen to songs that will be somehow used in commercials, particularly automotive and clothing (sans the vocals), this album is for you. Otherwise, every song comes across as deadpan, uninspired and overall just bland. Don’t be surprised when award season comes around and none of the songs are nominated. Her older work is far better, and somehow her new album feels years older. Be prepared to hear this album everywhere, not because it’s good, but the licensing fees will be extremely low.
