I'm a history nerd, born 1983. To start, I'm very critical of films/documentaries as a whole. I have, also, been a football nut since I was very young, renting/buying every VHS available.
I waited to watch Peyton's Places, thinking it would just be another former athlete making a few bucks, performing an interview. SO WRONG.
I love the format, they did a fantastic job of combining history and present with some Peyton comedy. It's a very nice blend covering everything necessary within the time constraints of a series.
Without babbling on, this production has made me a bigger Peyton Manning fan than I have ever been (I grew up a Lions Fan). Peyton and production staff have done a fabulous job of blending past/present/comedy into a fantastic historical NFL tribute. Very well done!
