There is no fucking way you will figure this game out on your own. What they left out was the 100 page instruction booklet you're going to have to make up for through hours of YouTube video tutorials.
DON'T JUST START PLAYING!!!
EVEN ON THE EASY LEVEL!
Don't start with the Dark Urge -- apparently he's evil right from the get go and they don't tell you that.
To play this game effectively, I would need a team of people teaching me in the room with me, a projector screen, a powerpoint presentation, and about 1,000 hours of flight time before I could even begin to figure it out.
After 3 hours of trying to play a game with way too many mechanics and back reference, I'm giving up.
Maybe one day I'll get back to it. But this is a game for the expert level 'I play over 20 hours/week' gamer -- not the casual gamer, or even the moderate to expert level gamer. This game is for the type of person who gets off on complexity -- which I would think is a niche market.
How it won GOTY I can't understand.
