Loved the idea of this movie but it didn’t seem to come together as a complete film. There is zero character development so you don’t feel connected to any of the characters and the entire movie feels rushed (with a 1hr and 33min run time it’s understandable). You can almost sympathize with The Nurse (Foster) over the loss of her son but that’s pretty much where the relatability ends. I didn’t understand the rationale for the cop character (Slate) aside from forcing The Nurse to step outside. But then we never learn why she is so afraid to step outside in the first place. And as much as I love Jeff Goldblum, I did not buy him as The Wolf King. And talk about a disconnect between The Wolf King and his “Capatin Try Hard” son! All in all I wanted to like this movie but it felt like a complete waste of time and talent. Good to see Foster back on the big screen though, big fan of hers!
