Julia is extremely selfish. I get that she wanted to be herself, but why force your children to come along with you when they were perfectly comfortable in their old life? It infuriated me seeing her promote promiscuity to her young son (who is still a child). Honestly, not everyone who is religious is forced to be that way. Did you ever consider some people enjoy and CHOOSE to live that way? Not everyone wants to wear skimpy clothes and get drunk every Friday night. This could have been a great, inspiring story if she simply chose not to shoot down people who CHOOSE TO live religiously. EDIT: I’m Muslim and I really feel for the Jewish Orthodox community, and can kind of relate. Let them be. Some people do wish to stay religious, you know.
