Big Kanye fan right here, but this seems like it was put together in the studio at the last second. The songs "Everything We Need" and "Use this Gospel" are just lower quality versions of "The Storm" and "Chakras/Law of Attraction" from Yhandi that sound even more incomplete than the original leaks. As well as the Opening track "Every Hour" with Kanye's studio choir sounding like what would happen if you mixed the intro from Chance's intro from The Big Gay-The Big Day and took out Chance and replaced it with every Sunday Service cover ever. Overall, it is really boring. (But that's just my opinion) Wasn't really feeling the next track "Selah" either, but I still thought it was okay. However, after this is my personal favorite track "Follow God", which gives me "Otis" and "Jesus Walks" vibes, and is definitely going to be bumped throughout the week. The next track "Closed On Sunday" is also a pretty good track imo, and has some thoughtful lyricism, my favorite being "CHICK-FIL-A!!!" (I'm joking on the line btw, I don't want to give Stans motivation) The track after this "On God" is a track that I felt was weaker and mixed poorly, but still alright. The we reach "Everything We Need", which is just "The Storm", but without X and a slightly altered hook. It's a pretty lazy song tbh. After this song however, was the most anticipated song for me after I saw it played at Coachella "Water", which is also a very good track and one of my favs. But the following track "God is" has imo, Kanye's GREATEST VOCAL PERFORMANCE EVER. Even topping this on Flashing Lights, Runaway, Ultralight Beam, and Ghost Town just to name a few. The track after this "Hands down" has some of the best production on the album, and very thoughtful lyricism. Also one of my favorites. But the track after this "Use this Gospel", is just "Chakras" with a changed chorus, and a bizarre Clipse feature of all people. (I didn't even know Pusha's brother was still making music tbh). Finally, the outro track "Jesus is Lord" feels like a church prayer to me, and ends the album off on a strong note, as well as almost making me forget about the missed opportunity in the title. So overall, I'm pretty conflicted over the whole thing, as some of it is great, while the others are lazy and boring.
Fav tracks: Follow God, Closed On Sunday, Water, God is, Hands On, Jesus is Lord
Least Fav Track: Every Hour
