This show was such a refreshing change from the typical "how many trophy animals can I kill in one episode" hunting shows, which I had stopped watching long ago. Everything is centered around 'the hunt' not the kill, and each time an animal is harvested Steve and the crew always share the experience, and relive the hunt, by preparing and cooking the meat and enjoying nature's resource. To me, this is much more of what hunting is all about. Nothing wrong with trophies hanging on the wall, but the shared experience of the hunt and the enduring memories they create are what those trophies are supposed to represent.
