Had high hopes for this show, I mean, it had all the markings of something great - set against a back drop of absolutely stunning Canadian landscapes and scenery, a small town sheriff in a town full of quirky characters, locals fighting the good fight against the corruption of a mining conglomerate. But boy did it go dark and so very quickly. The main characters - Jack, Angela and Anna quickly become inherently unbelievable and subsequently unlikeable - talk about a family with issues! I don't mind a bit of dark, even a bit of morbid, in my tv series, but Tim Roth's character is just too much. He is a terrible human being on so many levels, making him completely unrelatable and fundamentally unlikeable. And Angela's not much better, a loving mum who despite her initial instincts sides with her psychotic husband to form some kind of deranged Bonnie & Clyde duo? For me, it really lost it's way when the oil company storyline faded - it had so much potential to explore this angle further. I'm not sure I can take on season 3...โฆ..
