If you didn’t know Ellen was gay, struggled and is now rich and successful, don’t worry she takes time to remind you every nine seconds in this narcissistic Netflix outing. The highlight (singular): clips of animals dancing taken form YouTube, and the low points: where to begin? But a section about trying on shoes caused me to question what decade this was filmed in. If there is one positive thing you can take away from this awful experience, it’s that if you ever wanted to do stand-up but were filled with self doubt, Ellen tirelessly displays that you don’t need jokes, punchlines or story arcs in order to succeed, oh and make lots and lots and lots of money, as she gleefully reminds us as she “relates” to us. 0/10
