I really enjoyed this series and I hadn't read the book so I had nothing to compare it too. It certainly gives a great sense of time and place with the NY music scene, fashion and culture. Alongside the political divide between ground level workers trying to do an honest job and money talking loudly spinning the fortunes of others without concern. The narrative was driven by characters and relationships that had depth and were interesting so I felt like I wanted to know more. Great acting and good TV
