We watched this four times in the theater. Brilliant cinematography and accessible surrealism all in the context of "part of life and love is performative". Every complaint I might lodge actually serves a purpose in the film. The dialog may seem hamfisted at times, but it saves the purpose of showing how we script our own speech and perform it instead of speak it. Kogonada made a brilliant film.

This might be the worst movie I've ever seen in a movie theater. To its credit it was almost so bad it's good levels. The dialogue sounds like it was written by some producers idiot son, translated into English, the let an AI have a crack at it to see if they could save it. The actors didn't bother pushing back.they just cashed their checks and went on with and I salvageable script and I don't blame them. I was sad that a proper DC cinematic universe wasn't successful, but after this movie, ending the universe is a merciful death.
