Spellbound is an amazing movie. Sure, the ending could use some work, but the point is, the moral is actually hidden. It’s not going to ever make it big time, nor should it, but it is a very good lesson to look at the positive. Spellbound is set in a fantasy world, where a princess named Ellian has to deal with her parents, the king and queen, if I might, being turned into monsters after a fight in the Dark Forest of Eternal Darkness. The plot is direct, and the main idea is clear. The movie shows you how the princess leads her parents through the forest, being followed by a crowd of a misunderstanding army. The family goes through arguments, ultimately leading in a conclusion where the parents get divorced but live happily. While it isn’t exactly a happy ending, it’s a good reminder that no matter how your story ends, you can find the positive. 4 stars because there could be some improvements on the character design.
