Giving it two stars because trying to adapt the wheel of time into a television series is ambitious. However, they butchered it. Not only did the directors/producers/writers change characters and lore to inject their own woke statements into it…they changed basic yet important things about main characters, changed important parts of the story, completely omitted important characters, and randomly added ones that didn’t exist in the book. There is no reason for Perrin to have had a wife, no reason to alter May’s story so drastically, and no reason to make all the other changes they made pandering to a demographic that probably never even read the books. This adaptation is everything that is wrong with the entertainment industry today bundled into a neat package.

It’s trendy to hate things so people are hopping on that bandwagon with this show. The show is great and an enjoyable adaptation for the second age (of which there isn’t much source material). Remember that Peter Jackson’s original trilogy was nowhere near a faithful adaptation and was hated when it first came out. Now, people love it. I personally prefer the rings of power over the original trilogy and I hope they keep making it. Seeing how the stage was set for the confrontation in LOTR is awesome.
