A truly wonderful read! I thoroughly enjoyed the inevitable twists and turns woven throughout the story. I've seen quite a bit of criticism directed at Emily Henry and this book, particularly from those claiming it’s not a “real romance novel.” I found that criticism to be entirely off base.
What made this story so compelling was that it didn’t follow the overly sappy or cliché formula we often see in love stories. Instead, we’re drawn into the life of a woman shaped by loss, trauma, sacrifice, secrets and love. It's not just a romance; it's the portrait of a great, big, and beautiful life.
