I absolutely understand wanting to experiment with different mechanics and themes, but why do we keep taking popular and unique titles and feel the need to mess with what made them popular in the first place? It never fails and understandably after the original creator moves on it won't feel the same, but this is too much. Eventually we must understand that this never works. Make another game franchise if you want to make a rogue-like. Please stop changing what fans love into something completely different. When has it ever worked?
