I made a high expectation after watching the trailer, It seemed really creepy. But the directors tried to do something out of the box. This movie is not a stereotypical horror movie. But when someone go for a horror movie, it is expected that this movie will deals with pure unrealistic supernatural staffs with good plot which is able to shock the viewer. As a viewer I don't want to think much to understand the inner meaning while watching a horror movie, I just want to increase my Adrenaline level with a satisfying storyline. Zoya Akhtar managed to creat the environment very well, but story was very predictive. The long shot which captured only Zanvi's expression revealing nothing about surrounding was scary and impressive. Anurag seemed to do something as creepy as possible. But It was not scary but irritating. Horror movie will be way more effective in scaring people when a character is in a troubled, spooky situation and frightened , the viewers follow his or her journey in this situation and got scared. But there was just some random creepy staff. It's like that it was just a creepy flashback of a story , there is a whole movie which we are not shown. Bakwas!!!.. Dibakar Banerjee scared me most with his unique plot at first. I like the cinematography but I don't like the representation of so called " horror of real life". It showed our recent social political situation very well but he showed it very nakedly or rather say he did not tell a horror story but represented our recent social political situation in a horrific and dramatic way. It would have been better if it was shown more sutbly. Anyway I don't like any kind of underlying messages in horror film. Last story has typical Karan Johar vibe, It is a horror story for baby, nothing scary about it. So overall not so impressive.
