I went into it not expecting much, but I couldn't find anything else I wanted to watch. I ended up glued to it, watching and enjoying all eight episodes in one sitting. I can even see myself re-watching them eventually while waiting for a second season. I've been a Rob Lowe fan for more years than I'd like to admit, but I'm now a John Owen Lowe fan too. I like the contrast between the two characters, which looks to be about the same as that of the real-life father and son. All of the actors look to have great chemistry, and their parts are well written. For anyone who isn't seeing something ultra-deep and profound, keep in mind that "Unstable" is a sitcom. Sitcoms enable us to relax and forget about all the existential and philosophical stuff for a few minutes. Enjoy it for what it is.
