I watched this movie solely because Humphrey Bogart was in it. It's very period, and there is nothing particularly noteworthy about the film. Bogart is still working on his bad guy persona, but most of his dialogue is limited and cliche. The scenes inside Sing Sing prison are laughable they are so unrealistic. If you are on a quest to see every movie Bogie has appeared in (as am I), you'll have to watch it. Otherwise, there are too many other good options to spend time watching this "B" grade movie.
