My feedback rating may be based on my diminished hearing. There is too much background noise and music for me to hear the dialogue of many productions these days. If I put it on "closed captioning" I am too busy reading the crawl speed by and miss the screen actiion so that's not an option.
Productions today for some odd reason seem to think background music and street sounds, etc. makes it more realistic but the audience is more interested on the interaction of the characters. Actors in the era of Bletchley enunciated but this generation of actors mumble, abreviate and street talk. I think production people are too committed to their own artistic ego to make fiction seem real. Maybe you should take an opinion poll to see if audiences agree. Please start a movement to enhance the dialogue of the actors and mute the nightclub audience in the background.
