Absolutely loved the film which stayed close to the novel and having sat on a freshly painted bench on Spittal prom in the last few days, we now know the reason for the upgrade! The acting was superb and the layers within the various characters Harold met along the way were fascinating too, whilst of course Harold and Maureen were struggling with so much.
An added interest for a simple viewer like myself was identifying locations as Harold walked!
