Whoever at CBS makes a decision to pull Jeff Glor from the CBS evening news (if it should happen) should be fired because they truly don't get what connecting with the people of America is about.
I have watched a fair amount of news in my day now being sixty-eight years old and having worked for NBC. It is really rare that you can experience a news personality that has the feeling he/she gets it....and doesn't appear to be fake or that it's all about themselves.
The morning CBS news show is an entirely different matter. That show demonstrates so much work that needs to be done it's hard to encompass it in this format. The one very obvious correction that needs to be made is that the show boarders on a misandrous element where even the one and only male anchor at that desk is required to read from pink copy paper. It's so obvious that any chance they get to promote women they will do it. Not that this topic shouldn't be talked about buts its so overwhelming that it's to the detriment of other really important topics. I feel that it's terribly biased. Poor John Dickerson sitting at a news desk with three women. Maybe the thought from the higher ups was to eventually turn the show into something like "The Talk" or "The View" who knows. I can go over each observation for this show but not enough time here. But no one sitting at that morning CBS news desk at this time would do as good a job as Jeff Glor.
