Imagine getting a chance to spend time with someone from your youth that has been missing from your life for thirty years. Someone with whom deep emotions were developed and nurtured. Imagine not allowing anyone to give you any spoilers about what the reunion would be like because you wanted to feel what you felt as a child again, only this time as an adult.
Now imagine finally getting the chance to see this person, and itโs a resurrected decomposed corpse that sort of looks like them. Then the terrible music startsโฆ The corpse begins to do Tik Tok dances, and doesnโt stop for one hundred and twenty minutes straight.
Thatโs what watching this movie was like for me. No nostalgia, no new feelings, no joy. Just pure disappointment and absolute assurance that someone has taken something that I once loved and paraded its corpse in front of me and my kids. Would not recommend
