MLP:FIM is perfect for the reasons I will state below as someone that has seen all episodes of every season of MLP:FIM. The art style is perfect unlike "a new generation" as the equines in MLP:FIM are not real and as such do not need the unnecessary realism brought by CGI and the hideous changes to their hooves, wings, cutie marks and their smiles are unnecessarily wide making them unnatural and disturbing making the "art style" in "a new generation" abysmal. Unlike MLP:FIM or the G4 art style as it is known is superior, as it is always obvious that they are ponies, their hooves are beyond adorable as they are subtle but still clearly seen when they express themselves, they are heard when they walk etc and what else are they walking on? The simplicity of their hooves not only looks better but it means that the audiences eye is not unnecessarily drawn to aspects that don't need such over emphasis, as they have always been obvious, this also includes the wings of the Pegasi, as they look tacked on and made of down feathers not flight feathers in "a new generation" and I wouldn't be surprised if they just fell off. The cutie marks are a much loved aspect of a ponies design and from a design aspect uniformity makes sense and it also benefits the audience, as they can see it all of the time and don't have to keep searching for it and it almost makes cutie marks irrelevant when one of them is missing. After all why are they now half a blank flank? The plot in MLP:FIM IS anti-racism vs the "plot" of "a new generation" that is pro racism and undoes the good work and in general the established lore of Equestria as that has been established since S1E1 to S9E26, as such the plot is superior in MLP:FIM as it is also funny, charming, heart-warming and teaches great life lessons to all who watch such as the children who watch MLP:FIM. It is also a wonderful escape from life, especially when it it is rough, as it is clean and non violent making it perfect for children and adults to view.
