All I can say is I loved this movie. I fear that if a sequel is made it won't be as moving as this film. As an old man I connected with Alita as if she were one of my own children experiencing things for the first time which made me care about her within the first few minutes of the movie. My daughter had no intention of watching this movie but I started it while we were chatting and after about ten minutes I suggested we stop it so she could go back to reading. She told me to leave it on. She is now a fan of the movie also. She discussed the movie with me for about an hour after it was over acting in many ways the same way Alita does in the beginning. My daughter is 18 and heading off to college this fall and doesn't always spend time with me like she used to, so this was a great treat.
