I thought this was a very enjoyable film! It pays homage to the original story and cast. Yet it stands very welI on its on merits. The cast did an excellent job in with fresh interpretations of their roles. I thoroughly enjoyed the music the dancing and fantasy scenes. It was fun to just be entertained for a change. In an age when sadly this is far too rare. How refreshing this is in a day when too many films have violence, vulgar language and political social agendas and sad realities. As a viewer what a delight just to relax , breathe, listen to beautifully sung music and to watch great dancers perform to me was pure joy. I walked away feeling positive, uplifted and happy I went. We need more of that in the difficult times we now live in. Bravo!!! Bravo!! Bravo!! I believe like the original I will enjoy recommending it to others and viewing it again and again!
