As an artist, I was deeply touched by this movie and Benedict Cumberbatch's portrayal of Louis Wain. He captured the loneliness and madness that many artists experience because we see the world differently, are highly sensitive, and often feel like an outsider. This movie also has a dreamlike atmosphere, almost like Alice in Wonderland, but surrounded with cute kitties! The "love story" part of the movie will bring tears to your eyes. Such a heartbreaking, lovely film.
