I love that show however, the episode titled empathy really irritated me. They portrayed a man trying to resist “raping a child” by trying to castrate himself. They tried to explain to the audience why empathy for a pedophile is necessary. There was a very strange uncomfortable underlying tone in this episode that I really did not like... almost as though they were trying to normalize pedophilia and explain to America why we need to accept and be empathetic toward people with this problem. This may be a serious issue that requires a lot of discussion, and far be it for me to be judgemental in general terms, however, I do not think it was appropriate to speak about in a family program as if though it’s no big deal. Seems to me the producers have an agenda outside of merely entertainment.
