I mean considering this film was made in a time of the infancy & meteoric rise of the porn industry, much of the societal norms & tragedies of humans inhumanity to other humans, rings true almost 50 years later. The acting rings true, & George C. Scott demonstrates again his depth of emotions in a superlative performance. The ending is a bit Hollywood, but from a factual historical perspective, Snuff films were a miniscule portion of that industry. This is more a story of how lack of family love, skewed morals of the media fueled culture, & how slimy predators feed off the disillusioned innocents of society.
